Many women going through menopause experience uncomfortable symptoms as their bodies produce less and less estrogen. These can include hot flashes, night sweats, difficulty sleeping, irritability, vaginal dryness and thinning bones (osteoporosis). Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in the form of estrogen and progesterone can ease these discomforts until natural hormone levels stabilize. Bioidentical Pellet Therapy is a form of hormone replacement therapy which seeks to reduce these symptoms by using the natural approach.
Bioidentical Pellet Therapy consists of plant-based ingredients that resemble our own hormones in structure. Traditional HRT leaves women with many unpleasant symptoms such as, mood swings, depression, decreased sex drive, headaches, anxiety, permanent daily regimen of taking pills, etc. With Bioidentical Pellet Therapy there is no need to take pills. A pellet, the size of a grain, is inserted painlessly under the skin, most likely in the buttocks. During this procedure you will receive a local anesthetic and the entire procedure takes less than 5 minutes. After insertion it takes about 24-48 hours for the pellet to take effect. Once the pellet is in your body, whenever your body is low on either estrogen or testosterone it will use the pellets to replenish its resources.
This form of therapy works up to 6 months and the procedure only needs to be repeated about 2-3 times a year. Since Bioidentical Pellet Therapy is made from natural ingredients you won't have the side effects of a synthetic hormone.
The benefits of using Bioidentical Pellet Therapy are:
- Improves sex drive.
- Leaves you feeling more calm, relaxed, and stable.
- Feeling more in control of your body.
- Increases your energy levels.
- Works with your body so your hormone levels are steady and doesn't consist of the "roller coaster" effect.
